Think of river water turning under late light, surface alive though the current runs deep. The fish on this bala captures that tension. Its head and tail merge seamlessly into the circular band, so the creature appears to travel along the wrist rather than rest upon it. Diamonds are set scale by scale, tight and continuous, building a textured surface that shifts as the hand moves. The fins extend outward with carved ridges, edges defined in stone so the direction of motion feels unmistakable.
